Growth Readiness Assessment

A written diagnosis of where your marketing, website and data are costing you revenue, before anyone sells you a program.

Most marketing problems are not tactical. Campaigns underperform because the account list was never agreed, the website does not convert the buyer who matters most, a form submits to a database nobody monitors, or analytics count the wrong events. More spend on top of those conditions produces more activity, not more revenue.

The Growth Readiness Assessment finds those conditions first. It is where every Centaur Strategies engagement begins.

Your website is no longer the project

For years a website was a capital project: months to build, a large budget, and the hope that it would keep performing for years. That model is ending. AI has collapsed the cost and time of building pages, so a page for one customer segment, one proposal or one event now takes days, not months.

When pages are fast and inexpensive to build, the website stops being the product. The results are. The advantage goes to companies that can launch a page, measure it honestly, keep what works and replace what does not.

That only works if the foundation underneath is sound. If analytics count the wrong events, forms go unanswered, or sales and marketing disagree about which buyer matters most, faster pages only produce faster confusion. The Growth Readiness Assessment checks that foundation before you build anything.

Why the assessment is paid

Most diagnostic offers in this market are sales instruments. A free audit, a scorecard, a fifteen minute call, all built to arrive at the conclusion that you need what the agency sells. The finding is decided before the work starts.

The Growth Readiness Assessment is paid because it is a deliverable rather than a pitch. The finding is written, and it is yours whether or not you engage Centaur to act on it. Sometimes it says the foundation is sound and the next step is tactical. More often it says the layer underneath has not been built and knowing that before a retainer starts is better for both of us than finding it out in month four.

What we examine

Who you sell to. Which customers you are built to win, how that list was decided, and whether sales and marketing are working from the same one.

Website and conversion path. Whether your site works for your most valuable buyer, and where enquiries are lost between first visit and first conversation.

Data and measurement. Whether your analytics, forms and CRM agree on what a lead is, and whether anyone is notified when one arrives.

Speed to test. How long it takes you to launch a new page or offer today, and whether you can tell within weeks if it worked.

Channels and partners. What your channels, resellers and partners are telling the same buyer, and who decides when two campaigns collide.

Search and AI visibility. Whether buyers and the AI tools they now use to build shortlists can find you, and whether what they find is accurate.

Frequently asked questions

A free audit is designed to sell the next step. The Growth Readiness Assessment is a paid, written deliverable, and its job is to tell you the truth about what is blocking growth, including when the answer is that you do not need us.

$4,950, fixed, agreed before work begins. If you engage Centaur within 60 days of receiving the finding, the full fee is credited toward that work.

Not by default. Most companies do not need a new website. They need the right pages for the right buyers, launched quickly and measured honestly. If the finding shows your site needs to be replaced, it will say so and explain why.

No. The finding is yours. We want our clients to act on it with us. Some act on it with their own team instead, and the assessment is built to be useful either way.

Access to your analytics, CRM and website, a short questionnaire, and about two hours of time from the people who own marketing and sales.

Three to four weeks from intake to the working session. Week one is an intake call and access to your analytics, CRM and website. Weeks two and three are the review itself: we examine your site and data, test your forms and tracking from a buyer’s point of view, and hold short interviews with the people who own marketing and sales. The written finding and test plan arrive at the end of week three or four, and the working session follows within a few days. The biggest factor in timing is access. When access arrives in the first two days, the finding can be ready in three weeks.

Yes. We are based in San Diego County. Our roots are in Metro New York and New Jersey, where we still have strong service partners and clients. We serve clients across the country, remotely.
