Kerala packs an extraordinary range into a small geography: mist-covered tea hills in Munnar, wildlife in Thekkady, the legendary backwaters of Alleppey, and sun-warmed beaches at Kovalam. This seven-day premium itinerary moves through each in a logical sequence, with a highlight overnight on a premium houseboat. Ideal for families, couples, and solo travellers looking for a well-rounded Kerala experience with comfortable hotels, reliable private transfers, and zero planning stress.
Day 1 — Arrival in Kochi: Pickup from Kochi airport or station. Check-in at your hotel. Optional afternoon: Fort Kochi’s colonial lanes, Chinese fishing nets, and St. Francis Church. Welcome dinner.
Day 2 — Kochi to Munnar (130 km): Drive into the Western Ghats towards Munnar. En route, stop at Cheeyappara Waterfalls and spice gardens. Check-in at Munnar and an evening walk through the tea estate.
Day 3 — Full Day Munnar Sightseeing: Eravikulam National Park (home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr), Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, the Tea Museum, and Top Station with views across three states. A full, beautiful day.
Day 4 — Munnar to Thekkady Drive to Thekkady, gateway to Periyar National Park. Afternoon spice plantation walk — pepper, cardamom, vanilla, cinnamon growing wild. Cultural Kathakali or Kalaripayattu performance in the evening.
Day 5 — Thekkady to Alleppey: Houseboat Day Drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha) and board your premium houseboat by noon. Glide through Kerala’s famous network of canals, lagoons, and rice paddies. All meals served on board by your private crew. Overnight on the water.
Day 6 — Alleppey to Kovalam Beach Disembark after breakfast and drive to Kovalam. A relaxed afternoon on one of Kerala’s most picturesque beaches. Sunset from the lighthouse promontory.
Day 7 — Departure from Trivandrum or Kochi Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Trivandrum International Airport or back to Kochi, as per your onward journey.
July–September is Kerala's greenest, most dramatic season. Waterfalls are at full flow, and prices are lower. Some houseboat operations limit timings during heavy rain. We'll advise based on your dates.
