Haridwar and Rishikesh sit 24 km apart at the foot of the Garhwal Himalayas, where the Ganga descends from the mountains into the plains. Together they offer two distinct moods: Haridwar’s intensely devotional energy at Har Ki Pauri, and Rishikesh’s lighter riverside character — yoga centres, cafes, the famous suspension bridges, and India’s river rafting capital. This four-day retreat covers both with comfortable hotel stays, daily breakfast, and private transfers. Ideal for those seeking a quick spiritual reset, adventure, or both.
Day 1 — Arrival in Haridwar: Pickup from Haridwar Railway Station. Hotel check-in. Evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri — held every night at sunset, it is one of the most photographed and spiritually resonant moments in India.
Day 2 — Haridwar Temples & Rishikesh Transfer: Morning: Mansa Devi Temple (ropeway), Chandi Devi Temple, and a walk along the main ghat. Afternoon: drive to Rishikesh (24 km). Check-in to your riverside hotel or resort.
Day 3 — Rishikesh Exploration: Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula (iconic suspension bridges over the Ganga), Triveni Ghat, and Beatles Ashram (Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram — now an open heritage site). Afternoon options: yoga class, meditation, river-side cafes, or the famous Rishikesh market.
Day 4 — Optional Rafting & Departure: Optional river rafting on the Ganga (extra cost, booked separately). Return to Haridwar or Dehradun for your onwards journey.
River rafting is not included in the base package. We can arrange it additionally. Rishikesh rafting typically runs from Shivpuri (16 km stretch) or Brahmpuri (9 km stretch) — costs vary.
Absolutely. Many of our Rishikesh guests are not pilgrims — they come for the scenery, yoga, cafes, and river. The retreat works just as well as a relaxation trip as a spiritual one.
