Overview

Bodh Gaya is where Siddhartha Gautama meditated under the Bodhi tree and became the Buddha — making it the most sacred site in Buddhism. This four-day circuit covers the Mahabodhi Temple (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the original Bodhi Tree, and the monasteries built by Buddhist nations from across the world before moving to Nalanda — the ancient university that was one of the greatest centres of learning in history. Open to travellers of all faiths — this is a place of extraordinary historical and spiritual significance regardless of your beliefs.
